Chelsea preparing £300,000-a-week deal for world-class No.10
As per the Express, Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard is to become the
Premier League’s highest-earning player on £300,000-per-week when
signing a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian No.10 has been tipped to join Real Madrid in the past,
most recently seeing his name linked with the La Liga and European
champions during the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old Hazard is in line for a new deal at the West London
club to end any lingering doubts over his future, though, with The
Express suggesting that only minor details are now left to agree.
Chelsea chiefs are understood to be willing to add an extra £80,000
to the current weeky wage of the former Lille star, seeing him overtake
Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba as the division’s highest earner.
Meanwhile, Schalke highly-rated midfielder Leon Goretzka is
attracting transfer interest from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester
United and Liverpool as the youngster prepares to be a free agent next
summer.
The 22-year-old star has not signed a new contract deal with his
current club and will be free to walk away for nothing at the end of the
campaign, with a number of European top clubs showing an interest in
his services.
Bayern Munich and Barcelona are understood to be the two main
contenders for the Germany international at present, though the
midfielder could also have offers to move to the Premier League.
