The Spain international was omitted from the squad that battered Las Palamas at the Nou Camp yesterday.

And according to Spanish news outlet Diario Gol the latest snub signals the death knell for his Barca career.

The Catalans have an absence of attacking options following Ousmane Dembele’s injury.
But Alcacer still can’t get any game time at the La Liga heavyweights.

Dario Gol say Messi is exerting his influence in the Barca dressing room.
The Argentine superstar has reportedly told Ernesto Valverde that his style is incompatible with Alcacer.

Diario Gol reckon Luis Suarez is in agreement which has left Alcacer surplus to requirements.
Alcacer was drafted in from Valencia last summer, but he hasn’t pulled up any trees.
Despite costing a hefty £26m, he made just 23 appearances last term and scored six goals.

Napoli and Inter Milan have both been linked with raids and could swoop for his signature in the New Year.

Barca played their clash with Las Palmas behind closed doors.
Security fears surrounding the Catalan independence referendum meant supporters weren’t allowed into the historic stadium.

Valverde’s men still cruised to a 3-0 victory, though.
A second-half Messi brace and Sergio Busquets goal ensured Barccelona maintained their impressive start to the season.
