Thierry Henry tells Tottenham fans why Harry Kane isn’t world class
The Arsenal legend explains why Tottenham striker Harry Kane must do to reach world-class levels

Thierry Henry has told Harry Kane that he must consistently produce in the latter stages of the Champions League if the Tottenham Hotspur striker wants to be considered world class.
The England international has prompted discussion about the
24-year-old being a truly world-class striker after a return of eight
goals in September so far.
Kane scored a hat-trick in Tottenham’s 3-0 win against APOEL
Nicosia on Tuesday night to secure back-to-back victories in the
Champions League after his stunning double in a 3-1 win against Borussia
Dortmund at Wembley earlier this month.
The Spurs forward failed to get on the score sheet in
Tottenham’s opening three Premier League games in August before netting
twice in a 3-0 win against Everton at Goodison Park at the start of
September.
Kane scored 29 times in 30 games in the Premier League last
season to finish as the division’s top goal-scorer for the second
successive campaign.
However, Arsenal legend Henry believes Kane needs to produce
some big goals in the latter stages of the Champions League if the
England international wants to be considered in the world-class bracket.
“For Kane, unfortunately for him, it was a short Champions League campaign with Spurs and a short Europa League,” Henry told Monday Night Football on Sky Sports.
“The Euros were short also for him. With Kane it is his team
but we don’t know how good he is in terms of Europe. Aguero hasn’t won
the Champions League yet but we all know he’s won the league already and
it is his team.”
Kane is still waiting to win his first piece of silverware
at Tottenham after finishing in second place in the title race last
term.
