The Chelsea forward has been a long-term target for the Bernabeu club.
According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Hazard’s representatives asked Zidane to launch a swoop.
Real head coach Zidane is a big fan of Hazard, who spearheaded Chelsea’s Premier League title-winning campaign last term.
The Frenchman asked president Florentino Perez to bring him to the club.
But transfer chief Perez does not want to sign the Chelsea man.
The Bernabeu bigwig prefers raiding Monaco for wonderkid Kylian Mbappe.
And Diario Gol report that Perez is also against completing transfers that would limit Isco and Marco Asensio’s game time.
Hazard has three years left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
he 26-year-old missed Chelsea’s opening games of the Premier League season due to injury.
Hazard damaged his ankle while on international duty earlier this summer but is on the comeback trail.
He featured in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Queens Park Rangers last week.
