Manchester United enter talks over another huge deal
According to reports from the Daily Mirror, Manchester United have reopened talks with Inter Milan over the signing of Ivan Perisic.
Manchester United’s pursuit of Ivan Perisic this summer has been well
documented and manager Jose Mourinho dropped a huge hint recently that
he is still interested in signing the Croatian international by stating
that only 75% of his intended summer transfer dealings have taken place
so far.
Mourinho’s comments seemed like a cryptic hint directed at the
Manchester United board to attempt to secure the services of Perisic
before the end of the summer transfer window and now according to
reports from the Daily Mirror, claims are being made that the Red Devils
hierarchy is doing just that.
United deal-maker Ed Woodward is said to have ramped up the efforts
to sign Perisic by reopening talks with the player’s agent Fali Ramadani
and it is believed that the Premier League giants are looking to push
Inter to get the deal done even though manager of the Italian side,
Luciano Spalletti, stated recently that the 28-year-old is not leaving
San Siro.
The report states that United are now willing to meet Inter’s
£48million asking price for Perisic after not agreeing to do so earlier
on into the window and the transfer finally coming into fruition looks a
real possibility.
