Catalan media claim Antonio Conte has held special meeting in order to snare Barcelona star
It's being reported that the Blues boss wants the Spanish starlet
Antonio Conte and Chelsea officials have held a special meeting to
find a way of landing Barcelona star Sergi Roberto, the Catalan media
are claiming.
The versatile 25-year-old has been in good form for
Barca and netted against Real Betis at the weekend. The Blues are
reportedly looking to find a way to bring him to the Premier League
despite the player being valued highly by his club.
Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo are reporting that a number of Premier
League teams are interested in the midfielder, but that Chelsea have
been leading the pack.
They also claim that Antonio Conte held a meeting on Friday with staff
at Chelsea to work out a way to convince Roberto to leave the Catalan
city and move to London.
However, with Neymar having left for PSG and Luis Suarez injured,
Roberto may end up becoming an even more important part of the Barcelona
set-up.
