Mbappe’s father explains why his son didn’t sign for Real Madrid
By
Kylian Mbappe will not sign for Real Madrid
this summer, even though most reports, rumors and quotes suggested that
he would end up playing for Los Blancos. Apparently, the player is set
to join PSG on a loan deal which will become permanent next year.
“Ever since Zidane became Ancelotti’s assistant I thought
that he would not have the time to pay attention to his development but
had he kept going as Castilla’s coach we would’ve chosen Madrid instead
of Monaco at the time,” said Mbappe’s father to ESPN.
Apparently, Mbappe wanted to be close to Zidane and the
only way to achieve that would’ve been to work with the French coach in
Castilla back then. However, he decided to join Monaco instead and now
he will be sold to Paris Saint-Germain in yet another huge deal for the
French club. Mbappe lost the chance to play for Madrid and the club lost
a player with huge potential and room for development after a deal
could not be agreed between the striker and Los Blancos.
