Philippe Coutinho is about to leave Anfield to join Barcelona.

No matter where Liverpool fans turn, fans of the Reds are running into reports claiming that star player Philippe Coutinho is about to leave Anfield to join Barcelona.
The story, of course, is wrapped up in Neymar’s world record move from Barca to PSG last week.
Neymar has left a hole in the Catalans XI which the club are eager to fill as soon as possible, and Barca have 222 million euros in their back pocket to shell out on new talent.

On Sunday, Brazilian news outlet Esporte Interativo claimed that Coutinho’s switch to Spain is “95% done”.

ESPN Mexico

Many Liverpool fans have been drawn to an update from ESPN Mexico on Coutinho’s next move.
(Should Reds supporters really take notice of an article produced in Mexico concerning a Brazilian-born English-based Premier League star who may be heading to Spain?)
According to the update, Coutinho will be a Barca player within the “next few hours”, the Catalans will spend 100 million euros on the playmaker, while the Reds are looking at West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini as a replacement for the South American star.
Could the deal be sealed on Monday?
ESPN Mexico believe Coutinho will be unveiled as a Barca player by Wednesday, with the playmaker set to make his debut against Barcelona in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup this weekend.

Sport splash

On Monday, Spanish paper Sport also big up Coutinho’s seemingly impending switch from Anfield to the Camp Nou.

Singing from the same hymn sheet as ESPN, the Liverpool star is tipped to be a Barcelona player before the club take on Chapecoense in the Joan Gamper this week.

For Sport, Tuesday will be D-Day in the Coutinho saga.
Sport also report that the deal for Coutinho will be 90 million euros plus add-ons.
